Distribution

The magazine is distributed to 24,000 homes covering the majority of Wokingham, Winnersh, Finchampstead, Crowthorne and Arborfield. We work with a very professional company who hand deliver the magazine, guaranteeing that it does not arrive inserted in a newspaper, and with only the agreed flyers. Full details – street by street – of our distribution plan can be supplied on request. We appreciate all feedback regarding distribution, and continually monitor our success.  The magazine is also supplied to the Wokingham Information Centre and selected local estate agents to ensure that all residents (even those not normally reached on our distribution plan), can receive a copy.

Don’t have an Ad?

If you don’t have a suitable advertisement, don’t worry… we can design one for you at a very reasonable price. It will be professionally prepared in Adobe InDesign to your exact requirements and a proof will be supplied. You may want to include a section for special offers or promotions, and we will happily update your ad each month to include your latest deal at no extra cost (this also helps you to track the success of your advertising).

Got your own Ad?

If you have your own advertisement, please ensure that it is supplied by the copy deadline. Preferred format is PDF, but we can also accept JPEGs and TIFFs. Files should be CMYK and a minimum DPI of 300. We can also work with good quality hard copy (though this does not give the best results). Dimensions should be as per the Rate Card to avoid distortion of your ad.

Price

The Wokingham Word is unique. It is difficult to compare it with any other local advertising (but if you try, it looks very favourable!). We work extremely hard to keep costs down and so provide outstanding value for money. The magazine lasts all month in people’s homes (in many cases, a lot longer!) and is referred back to often. Small Ads start from just £15, and display ads cost from around £45 per month. There are substantial discounts for repeat advertisers.

Advertorial Features

Guaranteed to raise the profile of your business locally. Available as ½ or Full Page features. You can write this yourself, or let us give your advertorial an independent tone by writing it for you. We will produce a detailed and professional editorial ’selling’ your business, and supply proofs for your approval. Subject to availability.

Copy Deadline

We need confirmation of your requirements and full, final copy by the copy deadline. This is usually around the beginning of the second week of the month and is clearly published on the front of each edition. Please contact us to check the deadline if you do not receive The Wokingham Word.
